Okay. I know this trip was long time ago during July this year, but I just want to keep this memory in my blog. Haha! Anyway, you may find this post useful if you're planning to go to Busan especially after AirAsia X(AAX) launched this route recently.
Back in July. I won two flight tickets to Busan. Yes, I WON! Nah, that was a contest organised by AirAsia and they were giving away inaugural flight tickets to winners. The contest required us to record an Instagram video by telling them why we should be given the chance to visit Busan. And after countless trial and error with some creativity, I participated with the following video:

And yes, I won with the above video! But the winners announcement was made 3 days before the inaugural flight. That means I didn't have enough time to prepare this trip. Lol. But nevertheless I'm still thankful to AirAsia for giving me this chance to visit this beautiful country :)
Okok. Back to the trip. I asked my dad to travel with me in this trip. We traveled to Kuala Lumpur by Malindo Air(because we're are from Kuching!) on Sunday. We arrived there around 7pm and we waited for another 6 hours before we continued our flight to Busan at 1.15am on the next day(Monday).
Souvenir given by AAX during the inaugural flight
For the whole flight, I was very tired but I just couldn't sleep! Maybe I was too excited for the trip huh. After a long-boring 6 hours flight time, we arrived at Gimhae International Airport at 8.30am(local time). And guess what, we were greeted by Tan Sri Tony Fernandes annnnnnd Park-Ji Sung at the arrival hall!!! As usual, there were many reporters around. *did my face appear in their newspapers or not hoh?*
We can't waste our time too long in the airport because we still needed to attend the inaugural launch event at the Paradise Hotel Busan. Of course, all the transportation and lunch meals were sponsored by AAX!
There were so many media and tourism representatives during the event!
Our lunch course
Homemade smoked salmon with bococcini cheese, capers on a bed of red onion
Grilled beef tenderloin with vegetable and wild mushroom sauce
Tadaa! Park-Ji Sung made a surprise appearance during the event
Ji Sung and Tony
I only knew Ji Sung after I watched Running Man. Haha!
His "chok" face
Again, Ji-Sung and Tony
During the meet-and-greet session with Ji Sung
Aha! Look here! Look here!
Okay. They were looking at another camera. Sigh.
Group photo with Korean students and the two persons from the right are Malaysian winners too.
My dad with the football autographed by Park-Ji Sung!
Before we left Paradise Hotel Busan, we went to the Busan's most famous beach --- Haeundae Beach! You know what, the beach is just located behind the hotel!
YOU SEE THE VIEW! Nice anot???
We didn't spend much time there because the weather was so hot that time. So we took a cab to go to our hotel --- Toyoko-Inn Busan Station 2(Jungang-Dong). We stayed there for 3 nights. I didn't take any photo so no photo to show you guys. BUT all I can say is that the room was clean and the price was affordable too. Breakfast also included what. Also, I like their toilet bowl very much! Sounds wrong right? But their toilet bowl very advanced one okay. Go Google-up and you will know what I'm talking about. Hehe XD
The nearest train stations around the hotel would be Jungang-Dong Station or Busan Station. But after we tried using both routes, we found that the nearest ones would be Jungang-Dong Station(about 10-15 minutes). Actually there is another Toyoko-Inn beside Busan Station which is few minutes away. But then all the rooms were fully booked. Better luck next time! Anyway, we rested in our room for the whole afternoon as we were so tired after the long flight.
Our dinner, something like cod fish, at Lotte Department Store-Gwangbok Branch(Nampodong Station Exit-10).
After the dinner, we went to Gwangbok-ro Shopping Street which is not far away from Lotte. There are a lot of stalls selling all kind of things ranging from clothes, accessories, foods and etc. But our main intention there was not shopping as we were planning to go to Yongdusan Park where the Busan Tower is located.
This statue located along the shopping street is called City Spot.
Finally reached the top of Yongdusan Park!
The Busan Citizens’ Bell Pavilion.
The Busan Tower is behind the bell.
From a different angle. Lol.
There were not many people around the park that time. Anyway, going up to this park is free but if you're planning to visit the tower, then you will need to pay some admission fees :)
Thanks for reading! Will be writing my trip for Day-2 and Day-3 soon C:
